Performing Boomscore                       Ritual

The Himalaya region is the home to various diverse yet unique culture and tradition.Each one of them carries different customs,beliefs and rituals . “Boomscore” is the ritual performed in Ladakh at the beginning of the spring season to have good yield of the crops .People of Ladakh believe that this ritual will help them to get rid of bad omen.

Changchub Choeling Nunnery is commited to retain and revive this uniqueness even in the fog of modernization . The nuns of the nunnery performed this ritual on 13 th May 2023. They visited rthe village and chanted all over with traditional instruments.Cleaning of the Stupa or Chorten is one of the important ritual on this occasion to retain the energy and blessings for human well being.
